Cosmetic Dentistry

Your Smile is as Unique as You Are

Our smiles play a huge part in how we feel about ourselves and interact with others. As we age, however, we tend to smile less and for some who are concerned about the appearance of their teeth, they might stop smiling altogether. Luckily, improving the appearance of your smile with cosmetic dentistry can make a big difference in both the beauty and health of your smile.

Whether you want to brighten your smile a few shades, repair a chipped tooth, correct your bite, replace a tooth or several teeth altogether, Dental Depot can help you get started. Think about your smile goals and come in for a consultation with our teams to discuss your options and create a custom treatment plan just for you.

Common Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures

What are your smile goals?

Cosmetic dentistry encompasses many different areas of dentistry. Here you can explore the different concerns you may have with your smile, and some of the treatment options available.

Dental Depot offers professional, chair-side whitening treatments. This is a two-hour session in which our dental hygienists carefully bring your smile up several shades for noticeable results at the end of the appointment. In-office teeth whitening appeals to folks who are receiving their first whitening treatment or those who want quick results. You can continue your whitening treatment at home with custom whitening trays or with our Opalescence Go whitening kits. Call our office today to set up your chair-side whitening consultation today.

For touch-ups or for those who prefer to whiten their smiles gradually in the comfort of their homes, take-home teeth whitening treatments are ideal. Our take-home kits offer custom trays and clinical yet safe ingredients that are easily applied at home on a daily basis for a predetermined amount of time.

Whether you deal with stained, chipped, misaligned or undersized teeth, porcelain veneers are a great way to give otherwise healthy teeth new life. Veneers are a thin shell of porcelain that is attached to the outside of healthy teeth to create the appearance of bright, proportionate teeth. Veneers are typically applied to teeth between your bicuspid (or canine) teeth and can be applied one of two ways. The first method, traditional veneers, involved taking a thin layer of your natural teeth off to make room for the porcelain veneer. This process is not reversible. The second method involves bonding the veneer over the tooth altogether. This type of veneer is removable. A dentist will help determine which type of veneer is best for you. If you have an idea of what you want your smile to look like, bring it with you to your appointment to help discuss your goals.

Orthodontic care isn’t just for kids and teens! About a quarter of all orthodontics patients are actually adults and more and more are getting started on orthodontics (or going through a second round) later in life. Straight teeth are more than just aesthetically pleasing, they make it easier for you to take care of your smile by eliminating many of the spaces food debris and bacteria might otherwise get (like with crowding issues). In addition to straightening your teeth, orthodontics treatment can also correct common bite issues to mitigate potential problems down the line like TMJ.

At Dental Depot, we’re proud to offer full-service orthodontics at four of our OKC Metro Area locations, as well as Invisalign treatment at any Dental Depot.

Our teeth can suffer decay and disease for a number of reasons, some of which, are out of our control. However, restoring your teeth to their former strength and appearance is possible with restorative dentistry. Restorations can include everything from fillings to crowns and even bridges and implants.

Once decay from a cavity has been removed, patients can still confidently smile with composite, tooth-colored fillings. These fillings are strong and safe, but most importantly, they blend in seamlessly with your existing teeth. .

Similar to veneers, crowns cover a patient’s natural tooth to enhance its appearance and protect the roots of the tooth from further decay. Crowns are a good option for patients who need a very large filling, have gone through a root canal, or have a lot of wear and tear on a particular tooth. For more information on crowns, click here.

If you’re missing even one tooth, multiple teeth or even a whole arch – there are teeth replacement options you can explore. Replacing missing teeth will not only restore your confidence in your smile, but return your ability to eat and speak much more comfortably and efficiently. And when it comes to replacement option, dental implants lead the way with their long-lasting and affordability.

What are my options for teeth whitening?

Dental Depot locations offer two types of whitening: chairside and take-home kits. Chairside whitening involves the application of prescription grade teeth whitening ingredients that can dramatically whiten one’s smile in one appointment. In-office teeth whitening appeals to folks who are receiving their first whitening treatment or those who want quick results.

In addition to offering these two convenient options, we provide effective and notable name-brand treatments including Kor, Kor Max, Bleaching for Life, and Venus. For assistance on choosing the right teeth whitening method for your needs, we recommend speaking with one of our cosmetic dentists.

What are dental veneers?

Porcelain veneers are cosmetic enhancements that can produce a complete smile makeover. Many celebrities and other notable public figures have used veneers so that they can achieve a red carpet-worthy smile. Fortunately, Dental Depot can offer the same level of artistry and results that the rich and famous receive.

By working closely with dental laboratories, our cosmetic dental team can help rebuild your smile and conceal smile flaws by designing these cosmetic enhancements and permanently bonding them over teeth.

Dental veneers, made from the highest quality of porcelain, look and feel very natural. These enhancements can add uniformity to one’s smile while also concealing noticeable flaws such as misaligned teeth, misshapen teeth, and damaged teeth. After veneers are bonded over teeth, patients leave our office with a white and straight smile that looks healthy and natural.

How can dental contouring and reshaping affect my smile?

Tooth contouring and reshaping can help a person enjoy a more proportionate looking smile – especially when excess gingival tissue covers too much of the visible surfaces of teeth. When teeth are reshaped, their jagged edges can be smoothed to produce a uniform and attractive appearance.

What is the cost for cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic dental treatments can vary in price. Some treatments like reshaping or teeth whitening are relatively inexpensive and produce noticeable results. Those who receive multiple procedures or custom enhancements like veneers will pay more. Cosmetic dentistry is tailored to the needs of each person. After consulting with our dental team, our office will be able to give rough estimates for your treatment options so that you can plan for payment accordingly.

How can cosmetic dentistry improve the appearance of my smile?

Cosmetic dental treatments can literally change the shape, color, and overall appearance of teeth. These treatments address issues such as tooth misalignment, permanent stains, and noticeable damage from chips, cracks, and decay.
