Doctors' Careers

Dental Depot was started
in Oklahoma City in 1978

What started as a private practice with nine chairs in a renovated duplex in Oklahoma City’s historic Linwood neighborhood has grown into a group practice spanning 20+ offices across three states, with more to come in 2020. In fact, Dental Depot is one of the largest employers in the state, with more than 500 Oklahomans at last count, and more than 200 employees in Texas and Arizona. The business has been family-owned and operated by the Ashmore family since the beginning and the owners continue to practice here today.

Becoming Part
of the Team

Dental Depot prides itself on giving dentists the perfect combination of private-practice independence with all of the benefits and support a DSO can provide. And, because we handle all of the office management, staffing and more – all you have to do is show up and practice dentistry. You also have the flexibility to take off when needed.

Because of the way Dental Depot is organized, dentists and orthodontists never have to worry about getting patients – all the work is done for you! We have a fully staffed in-house marketing team dedicated to bringing patients in the door and keeping them for years to come. Plus, our general dentistry offices act as an in-house referral source for our orthodontists. Our teams are even trained to provide iTero® consultations for general dentistry patients.

Doctor Responsibilities

As a dentist or orthodontist, you’ll be responsible for educating patients on habits important to good hygiene, such as brushing, flossing and adhering to a healthy diet. Dentists fill cavities, inspect for tooth decay, apply sealants, improve alignment of teeth and repair broken teeth. It’s also possible that you’ll perform surgery to treat gum disease or extract teeth.

  • Formulate plan of treatment for patient’s teeth and periodontium, and present/communicate treatment plan with Treatment Coordinator to patient in a way the patient understands fully.
  • Advise and educate patients regarding preventive dental care and the causes and treatment of dental problems.
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, or malformations of teeth, gums, or related oral structures and provide preventive or corrective services.

Our Buildings

Dental Depot currently has around 40 locations across fours states: Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and Missouri, with more locations in the works.

Our buildings are warm and inviting. Clock towers, railroad crossing arms and signs, and large-scale trains are enjoyed by kids of all ages. Whether it is a train running from room to room, or our amazing collection of memorabilia, there is always something interesting to capture peoples’ attention.

The trains started with small models running through the office – later, exterior trains were added. They are built from scratch by our facilities team, and every one is unique.
