We’ve always been dedicated to our patients and our communities, but every year when March 2nd rolls around, we take a little extra time to reaffirm our commitment to our employees. Dental Depot wouldn’t be the ever-growing family company it is today without the helping hands of our team members. While some of our team has been around since the beginning, and others are just starting out, we appreciate each and every one of them.
Our team of diverse and compassionate individuals come together every day to form the beating heart of this company. It’s because of them that we are able to continue to provide long-term, personal service across Oklahoma, Texas and Arizona. As a team we’re stronger, smarter, and have so much more to offer. We’ll never stop honing our skills, never stop giving back and never stop making a difference for people all across the state.
We are Dental Depot.
We understand the impact we can make to our patients and our communities, but this is an open letter to our team, letting them know that they are seen, heard and needed.
Looking back over the last year of stories we’ve shared with you, it was hard to narrow it down to the blogs that really showcased the outstanding character of the people who make all of this possible.
Nevertheless, we’ve selected five of the stories that best showcase some of the incredible people we’re fortunate to have on our team. They are mentors, leaders and friends dedicated to their patients and coworkers in equal measure.
Delano is a servant and he loves it. As one of Dental Depot’s most revered dental hygienists, Delano serves patients in our Moore office. He serves his team members as a mentor, correctional facility inmates as a worship leader, his wife as a best friend and partner, his kids as a loving father, and himself through his faith in God.
Annette shared her journey towards home ownership with us and Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity. “I couldn’t do this without Dental Depot,” Annette said. “I’ve been working here for six years and without Depot, I wouldn’t have the work history I need. Depot has helped me move from the South side, and I have this passion now that I didn’t have before. I feel like this environment is really good for me.”
Dr. George Bohle is Dental Depot’s prosthodontist and implant specialist, a sculptor of functional pieces of art that have the ability to turn patients’ lives around. “Surgeons save lives, but I get to restore life,” Dr. Bohle said. “Each case has been life changing.”
Destinie Wilson sprinkles little bits of magic and a whole lot of glitter everywhere she goes. From moonlighting as the Tooth Fairy to caring for her patients at the West OKC office, Destinie dreams of being a dentist and is putting in the work to make it happen. “[Dental Depot] is really my home away from home,” Destinie continued. “It’s a family and we all take care of each other.”
Tracey Mulkey traded in her basketball uniform for a set of scrubs and never looked back. This all-star player has 30 years of experience in dentistry and finally found her home court at Dental Depot South Tulsa. “Mentoring is my favorite. I have a huge passion for what we do as assistants,” Tracey said. “Sometimes we’ll get assistants who say, ‘I’m just an assistant.’ And here at Dental Depot, it’s more. We hold a high standard for who we are and what we do. I want them to appreciate and value their position. It’s to serve first and foremost the patients, our doctors, and our teammates.”
Our company is more than a brand, more than a bottom line. Our company is about making a difference in people’s lives, in and out of the office, and is about the people who make it all possible. In honor of our 40th anniversary year, we’re committed to celebrating the individuals who make all of this work. We are embracing who we are as individuals, as teammates and as caregivers. To all of our team members, thank you.
